Laura Caravello became a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP) in 2008. She served her internship with Mercy General Hospital’s Music Ministry Program and worked there until 2011. In 2011, she brought a therapeutic music program to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital, where she currently works as a CMP. She studied accounting in college but has always had an interest in music. Trained as a pianist when she was young, she began playing the harp in 2004.
Laura recently retired from her 11 year employment with the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) as an Investment Officer in the real estate asset class. Her role at CalSTRS was to provide all the reporting, diversification, cash movement, and performance of the greater than $12 billion real estate portfolio.
